Overview
Who We Are & What This Covers
New Days Housekeeper Pte Ltd (MOM Employment Agency Licence 22C1356, “New Days”, “we”, or “us”) is a Singapore-licensed maid agency. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal data of website visitors, employers enquiring about helpers, and the foreign domestic workers we represent.
We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore and the operational requirements of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for licensed employment agencies.
What We Collect
Personal Data We Collect
From employers and prospective employers: name, contact number, email, residential address, household composition (number of adults, children, elderly), special care needs, helper nationality and skill preferences, and any other detail you choose to share when enquiring about a helper.
From foreign domestic workers we represent: name, date of birth, nationality, passport details, biodata, work history, references, photographs, and pre-employment medical screening results submitted to MOM (tuberculosis, HIV, syphilis, malaria) as required by Singapore law.
From website visitors: minimal usage data (page views, referrer, approximate location, device type) collected via standard web-server logs and any analytics tools we may use, primarily to keep the site secure and improve its content.
Why We Use It
Purposes for Use
We use personal data only for purposes a reasonable person would expect from a maid agency:
· Matching employers with suitable helpers and arranging interviews.
· Submitting work-permit applications to MOM and embassy paperwork to the helper’s home country.
· Coordinating mandatory medical examinations, training, and orientation.
· Communicating with you about your enquiry, contract, replacement, renewal, or any concerns you raise.
· Issuing invoices, receipts, and statutory paperwork.
· Improving our internal training, helper biodata accuracy, and service quality.
· Meeting any legal, regulatory, or audit obligation imposed on us by MOM, IRAS, or Singapore authorities.
Who We Share With
Disclosure to Third Parties
We share personal data only with parties involved in delivering the service you came to us for:
· Ministry of Manpower (MOM) — for work-permit applications, medical declarations, and licensing audits.
· Foreign embassies and consulates — for the helper’s home-country documentation.
· MOM-accredited medical clinics — for the pre-employment medical examination.
· Insurance providers — for the mandatory work-permit insurance policy.
· Training partners and hospitals — where the helper attends our hospital training programme.
· IT service providers — for hosting, email, and customer-relationship tools, all under written confidentiality terms.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to anyone for marketing purposes.
How We Protect It
Security & Retention
We apply reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to keep personal data secure — access controls on our systems, password protection, encrypted backups, and a clean-desk policy at our office.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by Singapore law (typically the duration of the work-permit cycle plus the statutory record-keeping period MOM requires of licensed agencies). Once retention is no longer required, data is securely destroyed or anonymised.
Your Rights
Your Rights Under the PDPA
Under Singapore’s PDPA you have the right to:
· Access the personal data we hold about you and ask how it has been used or disclosed in the past year.
· Correct any personal data that is inaccurate or out of date.
· Withdraw consent for us to continue using your personal data, subject to legal and contractual obligations that may require us to retain certain records.
To exercise any of these rights, WhatsApp or email us using the contact details below. We aim to respond within 30 days. A reasonable fee may apply for access requests, in line with PDPA guidance.
